Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure
Effective date: July 3, 2026 Website: ElectricalFaultCheck.com
Electrical Fault Check is designed to provide general home-electrical diagnostic information with clear safety boundaries. This disclosure explains how advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, and product references are handled.
1. Current status
At launch, Electrical Fault Check does not display ads and does not use affiliate links.
No diagnostic result is currently changed by advertising compensation, affiliate commissions, sponsorships, or retailer relationships.
If monetization is enabled later, this page will be updated before ads or affiliate links go live.
2. General safety rule
Electrical Fault Check provides general diagnostic information only. It is not professional advice, not a quote, and not a substitute for a licensed electrician.
Do not work on live wiring. If you see smoke, sparks, burning smell, heat, shock, water exposure, repeated tripping, or immediate danger, stop using the circuit and contact a licensed electrician or emergency services as appropriate.
Advertising, affiliate links, sponsorships, or product references do not change the site safety guidance.
3. Affiliate links
If affiliate links are enabled later, Electrical Fault Check may earn a commission when you click a link and buy something from a retailer or affiliate program.
When a page contains affiliate links, the site should disclose material relationships clearly near the relevant links or near the top of the page.
Example disclosure:
Some links on this page may be affiliate links. If you buy through those links, Electrical Fault Check may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This does not change our safety guidance.
Do not use program-specific wording unless the site is actually accepted into that program and the wording is required or accurate.
4. Display advertising
If display ads are enabled later, ads may appear on informational pages.
Ads are provided by third-party ad networks or sponsors and may be labeled as advertising, sponsored, promoted, or similar language.
Advertising does not mean Electrical Fault Check endorses the advertiser, product, service, claim, installation method, or safety practice.
5. Sponsored content
If sponsored content is ever published, it should be clearly labeled.
Sponsored content means the site received payment, free products, services, or another benefit to create or place content.
Electrical Fault Check should not publish sponsored content that overrides safety warnings, hides risk, claims professional certification, or suggests a product can make unsafe electrical work safe.
6. Product references
Electrical Fault Check may mention products, tools, categories, brands, devices, retailers, or other equipment.
Product references may be used for identification, explanation, compatibility, or general educational context. A reference does not mean the manufacturer, retailer, standards body, or trademark owner sponsors or endorses Electrical Fault Check.
Always follow the manufacturer instructions, product labeling, applicable electrical code, and licensed professional guidance.
7. Product recommendations and claims
If the site later recommends products, the operator should have a reasonable basis for any objective claims.
Examples of objective claims include statements about:
- rating;
- compatibility;
- capacity;
- certification;
- safety features;
- warranty;
- code compliance;
- performance;
- price;
- availability;
- durability.
The site should not claim that a product makes electrical work safe, confirms a circuit is safe, replaces a licensed electrician, or guarantees compliance.
8. Life-safety features and monetization
The site may have certain life-safety diagnostic features disabled in code.
If any life-safety feature is ever enabled, the default policy is that it should not carry ads, affiliate links, sponsored placements, or product recommendations unless the operator has separately determined that monetization is appropriate for that feature.
Safety-critical outputs should not be shaped by commission, sponsorship, ad placement, or retailer availability.
9. Ranking and editorial independence
If product lists, buying guides, or comparison widgets are added later, the page should explain how products are selected or ranked.
Potential ranking factors may include:
- relevant specifications;
- safety certifications;
- manufacturer documentation;
- availability;
- price;
- user needs;
- editorial review;
- commercial availability.
Commercial availability should not be presented as a safety criterion.
10. No professional endorsement
Electrical Fault Check is not a licensed electrician, electrical contractor, inspector, code authority, fire department, utility, manufacturer, testing laboratory, or emergency service.
An ad, affiliate link, or product reference does not mean that the site has inspected your home, verified your installation, or determined that any electrical condition is safe.
11. Reporting advertising concerns
