Terms of Use
Effective date: July 3, 2026 Website: ElectricalFaultCheck.com Operator: Utility Matrix LLC
Welcome to Electrical Fault Check. These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ElectricalFaultCheck.com and any diagnostic pages, calculators, guides, widgets, or related materials made available through the site.
By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
1. General information only
Electrical Fault Check provides general diagnostic information only. It is not professional advice, not a quote, not an inspection, and not a substitute for a licensed electrician, building official, fire-safety professional, manufacturer, utility, or emergency service.
The site may help you understand common electrical symptoms, device indications, or calculation ranges. It does not determine that any circuit, device, installation, home, building, appliance, cord, breaker, outlet, alarm, or wiring condition is safe.
You are responsible for deciding whether to use the information. When in doubt, stop and contact a licensed electrician.
2. Electrical safety stop rule
Do not work on live wiring.
If you see smoke, sparks, burning smell, heat, shock, water exposure, repeated tripping, visible damage, unusual noise, melted plastic, arcing, or any condition that may indicate immediate danger, stop using the circuit or device and contact a licensed electrician or emergency services as appropriate.
Do not use this site during an emergency. Call emergency services if there is fire, suspected carbon monoxide exposure, electric shock, injury, or immediate danger.
3. No professional-client relationship
Use of the site does not create any electrician-client, contractor-client, inspector-client, professional-client, advisory, fiduciary, or emergency-response relationship.
The site operator does not provide individualized electrical advice, repair instructions, code compliance determinations, permit guidance, or safety certifications.
4. No electrical-advice channel
Electrical Fault Check may provide administrative contact addresses for site, legal, or business matters. Those contact addresses are not an advice channel for electrical diagnosis, safety decisions, repair instructions, or emergency help.
Do not send photos, wiring descriptions, personal safety questions, or emergency conditions expecting a diagnosis. Contact a licensed electrician or emergency services instead.
5. Diagnostic outputs are limited
The site outputs depend on the inputs you select. Inputs may be incomplete, incorrect, misread, outdated, or not applicable to your installation, device, jurisdiction, or equipment.
A result may identify a common explanation, recommended next check, or stop point. It does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, safety, compliance, suitability, or fitness for your situation.
If a result says to stop, contact a licensed electrician, stop using equipment, or seek emergency help, follow that stop boundary.
6. No live-work or DIY authorization
Nothing on this site authorizes you to open panels, remove covers, modify wiring, bypass safety devices, reset repeatedly, work energized, defeat grounding, ignore manufacturer instructions, ignore electrical codes, or perform work that requires a licensed professional.
Electrical rules vary by jurisdiction. Some tasks that appear simple may be illegal or unsafe for an unlicensed person.
7. Held life-safety features
Some life-safety diagnostic features may be built but disabled. Disabled features are not available for use and should not be inferred from page names, code, screenshots, old drafts, search snippets, or third-party references.
Unless a feature is live on the site, it is not part of the service.
8. Sources and standards
The site may cite electrical standards, manufacturer documents, safety guidance, or other references. Citations are provided for transparency and general context.
A cited source does not mean the source sponsor, publisher, standards body, manufacturer, regulator, or trademark owner endorses Electrical Fault Check.
You should follow the current version of applicable codes, laws, manufacturer instructions, product labels, and professional guidance.
9. Product references and third-party links
The site may refer to products, tools, brands, devices, retailers, or third-party websites. Such references are for identification or general information only.
Electrical Fault Check does not guarantee that any product is safe, compliant, compatible, available, genuine, suitable, or correctly installed. Always follow the manufacturer instructions and consult a licensed professional where appropriate.
Third-party websites are controlled by others. We are not responsible for their content, policies, products, claims, availability, or security.
10. Advertising and affiliate links
At launch, Electrical Fault Check does not display ads or use affiliate links.
If advertising or affiliate links are enabled later, the site will disclose material relationships clearly. Sponsored, affiliate, or advertising content will not change the site safety stop boundaries.
Life-safety diagnostic features, if any are ever enabled, should not carry advertising or affiliate monetization unless the operator has separately determined that doing so is appropriate.
11. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The site is designed to avoid accounts, forms, analytics, cookies, local storage, newsletters, and stored diagnostic inputs. Hosting and security providers may still process ordinary server or CDN logs.
12. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, informational purposes.
You may not:
- use the site to provide professional electrical advice without your own qualifications and responsibility;
- copy, scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions of the site without permission;

- remove disclaimers, safety warnings, source notices, or attribution;
- use the site for unlawful, unsafe, or deceptive purposes.
13. Intellectual property
The site, including its text, structure, diagnostic logic, design, software, and original content, is owned by the operator or its licensors, except where otherwise stated.
Standards, manufacturer names, product names, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to them are for identification and informational purposes only.
14. No warranties
The site is provided as is and as available.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, reliability, safety, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, and suitability for any electrical condition, device, home, building, jurisdiction, or use.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, punitive, personal injury, property damage, business interruption, loss of data, loss of revenue, or other damages arising from or related to your use of, reliance on, inability to use, or interpretation of the site.
This includes harm arising from electrical shock, fire, carbon monoxide, equipment damage, code non-compliance, improper repairs, unsafe conditions, incorrect inputs, misunderstood outputs, outdated information, third-party products, or failure to contact a licensed professional or emergency services.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
16. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the operator from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the site, unsafe work, unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, or reliance on site information in a way that exceeds the site stated purpose.
17. Changes to the site or Terms
The operator may update, disable, remove, or change any part of the site at any time.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date will show when the current version took effect. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and forum
These Terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute arising from or related to the site will be brought in the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
